Tezdzhan Naimova BulgariaTezdzhan Naimova is the newest Bulgarian Light Athletic Star. Tezdzhan Naimova comfortably won the gold medal at the World Junior Championship in Beijing (August 2006) in the 100 m. sprint and in the 200 m. sprint.
.
The new champion Naimova was born on May 1, 1987 in the central Bulgarian town of Parvomai. She started training when she was only 10 years old. Her first coach was the late Tanio Tanev. For the last five years she has been coached by Stoiko Tsonov.

The first hints of Naimova's talent came last year (2005) when she became Champion of Bulgaria in 100 and 200 meters. This season (2006) she won the Balkan title in 60 m and the European Cup in 100 m.

Naimova is coached by Stoyko Зorrov – a former 16.86m triple-jumper – at the Lokomotiv Plovdiv 2004 club in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is a country which is quickly gaining a reputation for producing great sprinters, especially in recent years with European indoor 200m champion Ivet Lalova and European 400m champion Vanya Stambolova being some of the greatest Bulgarian success stories.
